I do not know when it started but some time ago I began to make Sunday mornings the time I would go out and pick kale. And now that we are living in a much more enjoyable climate, I have had the opportunity to go out to the garden and harvest kale all winter long. The end result of my kale picking has become my Sunday morning smoothie ritual. I find that on days like Sunday when I have a busy morning ahead of me, it is nice to be able to have a quick breakfast that can be enjoyed on the go. I personally really enjoy the flavor of cocoa with my kale smoothie, but you can always add in any other flavorings that you would also prefer.

Here's what you will need!
6-8 oz of kale
3 cups water
2 tbs cocoa powder
1 tsp vanilla extract
Place all of the ingredients into your blender
Blend on a high speed for 1-2 minutes
