Pizza night was always one of my favorites when I was younger. My wife's family also had their own version of pizza night when she was growing up. So when we got married and even as I was losing weight on a whole food plant based diet, we wanted to continue enjoying our pizza nights.
Here's what you will need!
1 loaf of vegan & oil free bread (We get ours from a local bakery)
3/4th to 1 cup of marinara
1/2 tsp onion powder
1/2 tsp garlic powder
1/2 tsp nutritional yeast
Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F
Cut the loaf of bread in half
Sprinkle garlic powder, onion powder, and nutritional yeast on the two pieces of bread
Pour and smooth over the marinara or pizza sauce
Layer on your toppings (for this recipe I used sliced mushrooms on mine and pepperoncini peppers on my wife's)
Place in the oven @ 375 F for 15-20 minutes depending on the thickness of your bread
