One of our favorite Fall traditions is to have warm and delicious oatmeal ready when we wake up on Sunday mornings. As the weather cools down, our Sunday morning oatmeals become even more important. Todays orange dream oatmeal is one of my favorite oatmeals, not just during the Fall and Winter but throughout the year. I love how refreshing the orange flavor is in the mornings and this one is most certainly a kid approved recipe. My favorite way to prepare my oatmeal for Sunday mornings is to place all of my ingredients into the instantpot before I go to bed, and then set it do delay start an hour and a half before we are planning to wake up and eat breakfast. That way Erica and I can wake up and have breakfast already made for us!
Here's what you will need!
2 cups of water
1 cup of orange juice
1 cup of steel cut oats
1 large orange or 4 small tangerines
1 tsp vanilla extract
Place all ingredients into the instantpot
Set the instantpot for 25 minutes on the pressure cook setting
Let the instantpot naturally release (~30 minutes)
Open up your instantpot and give it a really good stir
