Easy InstantPot Chickpeas (Vegan, Oil Free)

If you haven't caught on yet, my wife and I love beans. And one of our favorites is the chickpea. We love making burgers out of them and I especially love adding them to my Southwest Spinach Salad. We used to buy canned chickpeas even after we had learned how to cook other beans (black beans, pinto beans) easily in the instantpot due to not being able to get the same consistent product. But with some trial and error I was able to start making these chickpeas in the instantpot with no trouble at all.

Here's what you will need!


  1. Place the chickpeas and water into the instantpot

  2. Set the instantpot for 40 minutes on the pressure cook setting

  3. Quick release
