Easy InstantPot BBQ Jackfruit (Vegan, Oil Free)

During the summer nothing goes on a bun quite like pulled BBQ Jackfruit! We love serving up this BBQ Jackfruit whenever we have a large group of guests over. It goes great on a bun by itself or over a delicious bean burger or porkless burger topped with some Spicy Jalapeño Lime Guacamole.

Here's what you will need!

  • 1 can of young green jackfruit (drained & rinsed)

  • 1/2 cup water (this was added due to so many having "burn" come on instantpot)

  • 1/4th cup of BBQ sauce

  • 1 tsp garlic powder

  • 1 tsp onion powder

  • 1 tsp smoked paprika

  • 1 tsp black pepper

  • InstantPot

  • Food Processor


  1. Drain and rinse the canned jackfruit

  2. Place jackfruit into the food processor (using the dough mixing blades)

  3. Process for 10-30 seconds

  4. Add Jackfruit and the remaining ingredients into the instantpot

  5. Set the instantpot for 15 minutes on the pressure cook setting

  6. Quick release
